ANIMA is an image bank based in Fremantle, Western Australia, specializing in accurate, realistic illustrations of fishes, corals, other marine life, portraits of underwater environments and Natural history paintings.

Since 1993 ANIMA has provided high quality illustrations for Scientific Institutions, Publishers, Aquariums, Fisheries Organizations and many other clients, and created underwater murals for government buildings and private collectors.

As well as stock illustrations from the image bank, we can also create new images of typical marine life from your selected habitat. We can produce portraits of marine life and posters tailored according to your needs. The accuracy and beauty of our illustrations helps our customers to attract and focus attention, raise awareness, communicate and inform.

All paintings are by Roger Swainston, a zoologist specialized in marine life, who has created these exquisite works, blending art and science.

The company is owned and managed by Roger Swainston and Catherine Julien. Many others collaborate with us and contribute their particular skills to our projects.
